For this project, I was tasked with developing a comprehensive layout for a magazine identity so I chose sneakers and their surrounding culture. Although I don't have much prior experience or personal passion for the sneakerhead culture, I embraced the chance to explore something new and intriguing. It was an exciting challenge to dive into a topic outside of my usual scope, and I approached it with an open mind and a willingness to learn and experiment.

My primary approach to crafting the identity of this magazine revolved around the seamless integration of imagery and typography. I delved into various techniques, experimenting with the juxtaposition of large type and overlays to enhance contrast and visual allure. By meticulously testing these design elements, I aimed to create a harmonious balance that not only captures attention but also fosters a deeper engagement with the content.

My main curiosity was how I could play with text, bending and breaking it to add some flair. For the magazine's vibe, I aimed for a blend of clean and messy, but deliberately and thoughtfully. I sought to inject dynamism into the flow, making sure it was both engaging and intriguing. It was all about finding that perfect balance between order and chaos.

When I tackled the design of the front cover, I opted for a more abstract approach. I aimed to achieve a minimalist appearance while still exuding an elegant and cool vibe. Utilizing overlays and text interaction with the shoe, I made sure to highlight the "1" as a focal point. This not only grabs the reader's attention but also emphasizes a key feature of the magazine. It's all about striking that perfect balance between simplicity and sophistication.
